PURPOSE OF HYBRID SYSTEMS GROUP

In this forum we'll discuss examples of hybrid systems that have stood the test of time, providing reliable electricity for several years or more, ideally with only in-country support.

TWO GOALS
  1. Aggregating experience that is distributed among users of this forum about successful working examples. If you're got a project to add, please add a brief technical description, photo, and a discussion of the context and institutional arrangements that lead to sustainable operations and maintenance. -- Click here to add your examples
  2. Understanding why certain projects succeed and others fail. Pose questions related to hybrid system sustainability.

Welcome Chris. Notice the Text Box where you as the group creator can add a page or two of additional description of the group and a Discussion Forum for specific topics. In addition to a membership list, the group has its own mailing list.

Chris, Thanks for setting this up. In addition to examples of sustainable systems, it would be great to have a discussion of the factors that made them sustainable. Also, photos and links to remote monitoring sites.
